GENERAL INFORMATION

The cardiology department offers prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart diseases. It is also active in the field of scientific education and further training of residents cardiologists.

Activities

The cardiology department has a capacity of 34 inpatient beds. The aim of the department is to provide the best possible care for its patients.
The Infarction Unit, has a capacity of 9 beds, is fully equipped and also has a small haemodynamic laboratory where permanent pacemaker implants are performed.

It has:

• Hemodynamic Laboratory for complete hemodynamic investigation and interventional intervention (Coronary angiography - Angioplasty - FFR measurement)
• Electrophysiology Laboratory can perform a complete electrophysiological study of arrhythmia resolution and implantation of permanent pacemakers
• Recall test (Tilt Test)
• Installation of Holter device for taking electrocardiograms for the study of arrhythmias, pacemaker functionality.
• 24-hour blood pressure monitoring in ambulatory patients.
• Laboratory m-mode ultrasound, 2-D Doppler, color Doppler and transesophageal echocardiography.
• Ergometry laboratory using a rolling carpet.
