Distinctions
Papageorgiou Hospital participated for the first time in 2017 in the ''HealthCare Business Awards'', which rewards excellence and innovation in the field of healthcare, winning two gold, one silver and one bronze award. The Nursing Foundation recorded its second participation in the event the following year and received seven awards - three gold, three silver and one bronze - to reward best practices and innovative actions. The third consecutive year that the "Papageorgiou General Hospital" excelled in the awards institution was in 2019, having received two gold, two silver and one bronze award for all the nominations submitted.
In 2020, despite the difficult period due to the unprecedented health crisis caused by the SARS-Cov-2 virus, the hospital was awarded for another year. Papageorgiou Hospital was distinguished among renowned public and private hospitals from all over Greece, receiving honorable mentions for all entries submitted. In particular, it was awarded two gold and two silver prizes.
