Administrative Directorate: Personnel Department

 

The Personnel Department falls under the jurisdiction of the Administrative Directorate of our Hospital and manages issues pertaining to the service status of Human Resources of the Hospital, i.e. the Medical, Nursing, Paramedical, Administrative and other Scientific Personnel. More specifically:

Keeps and updates employee record files.
Handles appointments, hirings, placements, transfers, resignations, terminations, replacements-substitutions, reclassifications of contracts, expirations of contracts, dedicated services, steps, allowances, developments. With regard to the hiring of medical personnel the provisions in force on the filling of positions of N.H.S. (National Health System) doctors apply. The selection and hiring process for the rest of the personnel is carried out in accordance with the provisions of article 18, Law 2190/94, as is currently in force, following a vacancy notice which is published in the GG (issue of vacancy notices by Supreme Council for Civil Personnel Selection), while its summary is published in at least two (2) newspapers in Athens and Thessaloniki.  Applications are submitted to the Personnel Department of the Hospital, which then evaluates said applications and prepares the temporary placement tables. These tables are then submitted to the Supreme Council for Civil Personnel Selection (ASEP) in order to be checked and ASEP will later issue the final rankings - success lists).
Informs the Payroll Department of the Hospital for changes in the service status of employees and notifies payroll departments of other public hospitals for respective changes in the status of State employees.
Is responsible for the administrative control of all types of leaves.
Keeps a record of work schedules, all types of leaves, on-call duty days and overtimes of the staff in cooperation with the respective services. 
Controls and monitors the arrival and departure time of employees in order to ensure the correct implementation of their work schedule.
Issues employment status certificates for employees.
Monitors the duration of service of medical residents and specialized doctors and is responsible for their timely replacement.
Is responsible for the observance of the employment process of unremunerated scientific partners.
Draws up and submits statistics to the competent authorities.
Is responsible for the collection of provisions of legislation and for their proper application on issues concerning the personnel.
Certifies the authenticity of the signature of employees.
Makes sure that employees are evaluated annually.
